In our semester-long comp, you’ll learn everything a student founder needs to know about entrepreneurship and VC. We will help you learn concepts like business models, funding rounds, customer discovery, and creating a pitch deck. You’ll put these ideas into practice during comp meetings and in a larger project which you’ll work on with a group to develop and pitch a startup idea in the second half of the semester. You’ll also have many opportunities to meet other aspiring founders and build out ideas with them!

The comp meets once per week for an hour (Times/Location TBD) and most events will feature a guest speaker, often a successful founder or investor with an exciting story to tell. When we start the team project mid-semester, you’ll work with your team to build your startup idea, business model, and pitch deck. The time commitment for HV comp is about 1-2 hours per week, with maybe a little extra work required near the end of the semester.
